Annual Dinner 2010

Our company dinner was held on Nov 26 at KL Hilton.. again. But this year we have a smaller crowd, so we were at the Sentral Ballroom instead of the Grand Ballroom. Some pictures from the day.

Bowling again..

It has been almost a year and our Sport Club organised another bowling tournament as part of team building. This time it is held on a weekday, yesterday after our office hour. Almost half of the company went including our CEO and his family.

Me and another colleague in my department joined 2 others to form our team - Funky Bowlers! The Funky Bowlers did not win but we have a great time and were the most colourful lot!

Will try again next year but before that I think we need to practice!

HP Mini

I promise you that I'm going to show you the HP mini I won and I am so sorry to keep you waiting. Here are some pictures of the Mini, comparing it with the size of The STAR newspaper and our Astro remote controller. The screen is only 10 inch and hence it is kind of small. Have to really get use to it. Other than that the performance is acceptable and just like any other laptop/desktop.

I was telling hubby that now I need a camera to complete my blogging necessity!

Seminar @ Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

I attended a seminar on Wed at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur. I have been to this hotel but never thought that it have got so many function rooms. There about 10 other functions at Shangri-la that day.

My seminar is at Sabah Room and here is glimpse of the venue.

Another re-usable bag

The essentials provided

We are well feed that day with breakfast, tea-time and lunch. I dare not take pictures of the breakfast and tea-time as it is serve in the foyer and so many people looking. But I did manage to take some photos of my lunch served behind the seminar hall ie within the room itself.
Our dining table

Soup of the day - broccoli

My lunch platter - some vege, mutton masala and sweet and sour fish.
On diet mah, so did not get any of the rice and lamb.

 Varieties of cake

My desserts platter and ice-cream.... yum yum

A nice relaxing seminar with information on available software to assist in our operation. The organiser is so cunning that they keep the doorgift which is an umbrella until a participant submit their feedback form. In order to make it more interesting, lucky draw session is held before and after lunch.

I'm so lucky that I won the grand prize of the day.............

Deepavali Gift from Employer

As mentioned in my earlier post, staffs were presented with the Deepavali gift during our Raya celebration. The gift is a box of 12 mini cheese cake from the famous the Loaf.

All the boxes of cakes lined up to be given away.

The look :)

And, all the 12 cheese cake lined-up in the box.

I served the cheese cake as breakfast for Angel.
One look and she reach for the one with chocolate topping.
Guess she really like chocolate very much.

Angel trying to poke through the chocolate topping.
Mommy, I can do it! No, I don't need your help. Angel, can do it!

After her first taste of the cheese cake, Angel give me this look.
Its her latest look with a peace sign ;)

After 2 bites of the cake, she left the cake with me. As always, mommy have to finish the left-over for her. How can I keep to my diet plan :(

H1N1, Please Leave Us Alone!!

We received message early yesterday morning that one of our colleagues is suspected of the Influenza AH1N1! Everyone is asked to wear a masked, her office is being sanitized and so is area around her staffs.

Because of that I have let Angel stay at my mom house and have not seen her since yesterday morning. :(

This morning we received another message to say one of our colleague's son is confirmed a H1N1 patient and they are currently being quarantined in a hospital. Shortly after lunch another staff who is in her 1st tri-mester is asked by her doctor to stay at home due to her flu!

Oh my god... I called mom and told her Angel will have to stay with her for the next few days. My Angel was shouting behind asking "Mommy come, mommy come".

Ohhhh, I wish I could my baby. Mommy just want to make sure that mommy was not infected before mommy can assure myself that Angel will be safe from the virus. Mommy know you miss mommy, mommy miss you too. Love you.

Treasure Hunt; fr KL to Kuantan

Was away during the weekend for a treasure hunt organized by my company in conjunction with its annual family day outing. Our mission is hunt the treasure to Kuantan. This is my 3rd treasure hunt and hubby's first (& Angel's too). I was a bit worry that it will be difficult to hunt with Angel around and only the two of us as hunters. But we manage and we won 2nd place, hooray!!!

Below some pictures of the event, not much pictures cause were busy hunting and during the night Angel was feverish. So, worry that its the H1N1. Luckily she recovered the next day after forcing a few bottles of water + 100plus on her.

At the flag-off point

Honey, concentrating on the question while waiting for our turn at Karak toll.

Angel being naughty in the car - playing with my sunglasses.

Our room at Hyatt Kuantan. Its facing the tennis court instead of the beach :(

Angel 'checking out' our room!

Angel: "I'm ready for the beach!"

The beach. The sand is white but not very soft. Its a bit hazy so the picture is not clear.

My Angel.

This is suppose to be a picture of the swimming pool next to the beach. Its a very pretty sight. Unfortunately my camera does not do a good job :(

Angel have been very cranky that night, down with mild fever. Clinging to daddy the whole night! Poor daddy.

Hahahahaha... Honey is so excited about winning his 1st hunt and insist we take a picture right when we are in our room!

Angel getting ready to doozed off... She sleep like a baby that night.

My Angel back again!!! The sun is beaming hot but she is just happy running around the playground - don't have the heart to stop her.
See poor daddy calling for help - so hot!!!

Just before we left, let Angel take her LONGGGGG bath in the bathtub.

A hot and dry but fruitful weekend!
